Assistant Auditor-General, Accounting and Auditing Policy
Todd rejoined the Office of the Auditor-General in January 2016. He is responsible for the Accounting and Auditing Policy group, which encompasses auditor appointments, quality assurance, auditing policy, and accounting policy across all sectors within the Auditor-General’s audit mandate. Todd is also responsible for all school audits.
Todd was a member of the Financial Reporting Standards Board of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants for six years from 2003, and has served on a number of standard-setting working groups. He has also recently been the technical accounting advisor to the New Zealand member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board.
Before rejoining us, Todd was the Director of Accounting Standards at the External Reporting Board. Before that, he was the Director of Accounting Policy here at the Office. Todd is a fellow of the Institute and gained his Business Studies qualification from Massey University.
