Figure 14 is a bar chart with five bars. The bars represent the total quantity of waste (in tonnes) managed by Ashburton District Council in five financial years — from 2001/02 to 2005/06.

The total quantity of waste has increased from nearly 7000 tonnes in 2001/02 to about 12,000 tonnes in 2005/06.

The proportion of total waste that is diverted through reuse, recycling, and recovery activities has increased from nothing in 2001/02 to a little more than 4000 tonnes in 2005/06.
